Flexible Core
Pathways Flexible Core
In the Flexible Core, depending on the major, students take between three (3) and six (6) three-credit liberal arts and sciences courses from the following five (5) areas, with no more than two (2) courses in any discipline or interdisciplinary field (e.g., no more than two psychology courses):
- World Cultures and Global Issues
- Creative Expression
- U.S. Experience in its Diversity
- Scientific World
- Individual and Society
We will focus on three general outcomes and their associated sample assessments for this area.
Gather, interpret, and assess
Gather, interpret, and assess information from a variety of sources and points of view.
Produce
Produce well-reasoned written or oral arguments using evidence to support conclusions.
